The clip, which has been seen by Edinburgh Live, makes light of an attack which was carried out on an associate of locked up cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson. The family home of his associate, located in the capital, was torched while children are understood to have been asleep inside during the early hours of Thursday, April 17.

The property was targeted by two masked assailants, who set the front door on fire before fleeing, on the sixth year anniversary of Trainspotting T2 star Bradley Welsh's murder. In the new video - which contains a headline referring to the latest arson attack - Mr Big’s foot soldiers say they will “make sure they burn the house rather than just the door” during future attacks.

They added they were unhappy with those who carried out the initial arson attack on Thursday - and throughout the video, the gang members continuously refer to ‘exterminating the Daniel virus.’

This appears to reference the notorious Daniel clan, who are rumoured to have previously worked alongside Richardson and his crew. Several businesses and properties previously linked to Richardson have been targeted in Edinburgh in the last two months including two homes being shot at by masked gunmen.

The video also labels the fires as ‘stage one’ of their planned attack on Richardson and the Daniel's. They added: “We will begin stage two shortly, which will directly exterminate the virus from the body.”

Mr Big’s crew also claimed they would have initiated their ‘stage two’ plan earlier, but accused members of Richardson’s gang of going into hiding. They also attempted to reassure civilians in both Edinburgh and Glasgow by saying: “We would like to reassure the public that we will only be going after the infected.”

Sources say trouble flared between the rival factions after hoods linked to caged mobster Mark Richardson were accused of stealing a stash of cocaine worth £500,000 linked to a Mr Big.

It's understood the Glasgow mob boss, now based in Dubai, launched a new crime syndicate and began to flood Scotland with imported gear.

The latest video comes after a house registered to Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel's mum Annette was attacked last night, as Scotland's gang wars continue to escalate.

Images from the scene showed the property at Cortmalaw Gardens in Glasgow, with windows appearing to be smashed up.

A source told the Record: "Bonzo's windows are meant to have been bulletproofed after he was attacked a number of times by the Lyons mob over the last few years. The guys who were sent to attack his house are serious people so if they have managed to crack some holes in the windows it's possible it was with a gun."

Police Scotland say the incident was not reported to them. The attack follows a string of violent incidents targeting the Daniel clan, culminating in Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel fleeing Glasgow for Dubai.

Bonzo's home in Bishopbriggs was set on fire on Monday morning, and his uncle Norman's home nearby went up in flames at the exact same time - in what sources believe was a coordinated gangland strike.

The gangland war spilled over to Glasgow earlier this month when the Daniel clan were targeted for their association with Richardson.

An underworld source told the Record the senior members of the family are the prime targets but everyone with the Daniel surname is in danger.
